To collect the most full and extensive list of keywords that are relevant to your site use Keyword Builder module from the Page Promoter software.
Top 10 Wizard
After you have created a new project you can run Top 10 Analyzer. When you run the module for the first time it launches profile setup wizard, where you have to provide the following information:
- The competitor URLs. Provide your competitor site or sites here for analyzing and comparing with your site by different SEO parameters. To add a new competitor enter the competitor address and click
. To remove a competitor from the list click . Addresses with and without prefix 'www', for example, www.mysite.com and mysite.com will be considered different sites (this can be changed in Program Settings). You don't need to provide prefix http:// - the program will add it automatically. Press Next > to continue.
- Provide search terms which are relevant to your site and to your competitors site(s). These can be both single words and multi-word phrases. Click
to add a new keyword or keyphrase to the list. Click to remove a word from the list.
- Select search engines on which the program will search your sites and sites of your competitors. All engines are grouped by countries, the largest group being Global. Click '+' symbol to expand the country node and select the required search engine's check boxes. Click Next > to continue.
The program queries search results pages, analyzes them and exports into the database.
The program contains five tabs:
Top 10 Tab
This tab displays the top 10 search results for every keyword you have entered and on every search engine you have selected. After you have launched the module and provided all necessary keyword and competitor information, the program outputs results table in the Top 10 Tab.

The URLs are grouped by the keywords they were found by. For example, if you search three words on two search engines, the results will look the following way:
- Keyword1
- Search engine1
- Search Engine 2
- Keyword 2
If your site or your competitor site is found within the top 10 results, it is highlighted. Your site is highlighted blue, and your competitor is highlighted brown (default colors). You can change the colors for highlighting in the Program Settings. If the same site occurs in different search engines results, it is displayed only once, in the results of the engine that goes first. You can view the position of the URL on these search engines by expanding tree nodes.
If you performed Top 10 Search some time ago the results may have changed. You can update the search results in the program database by clicking the Refresh button - the new search will be performed with the same competitor sites, keywords and engines as before. To perform a new search with another settings, click New Search. This will launch SE Top 10 Search Wizard, allowing you to perform new Top 10 Search with new settings.
HTML Extractor Tab
This tab allows previewing, selecting and downloading pages, found during the search. It looks much like the Top 10 Tab, except that it has check boxes against each URL. If you double-click on a URL in the table, the URL will open in the Preview window in the lower part of the Tab. You can navigate within this window much like in the ordinary web-browser.

In the upper right part of the Tab there are controls, which allow performing the following actions on the links in the table:
Extract Pages - downloads the selected pages and saves them in the database. You can select the page by checking the check box against it
- Stop - stops extraction process
Select All - selects all pages in the table
Deselect All - clears selection
The table contains three columns:
- URLs - the addresses of the web pages found during analysis
- Status - during the extraction the program will display operation progress status
- Size - the size of the downloaded page
To download a page or multiple pages select their check boxes and click Extract Pages. The program will download all pages, parse them and store in its database for further use. The information extracted by the program will be used when generating reports.
Statistics Tab
This tab consists of the following windows:

- URL Select Pane - contain the list of sites, analyzed with HTML Tab
- Filters Toolbar - contains shortcuts for Ignore and Accept filters settings
- Main Statistics Table - contains information on the selected in the URL Select Pane link in the table form. You can switch between three different sheets in the table
- Resources sheet. Every line of the table contains statistics on a single word, found on the page. In the columns you can view the allocation of the words in different tags of the page:
- Keyword - the keyword found on your page
- Total - the total number of times this word was found on the page disregarding the tag it was found in.
- Density - the correlation of the number of times this word was found on the page to the total number of words on the page (in %)
- Weight - the weight of the word on the page. It is widely known that a keyword placed in some important tags, like <title>, <h1> is considered more important by search engines than words placed in the text of the page. The keyword weight is a relative value and differs for different search engines. Thus, for example, the text of the link is more important for Google, than for other engines. Meta Keywords and Meta Description are taken into account by some engines, whereas by Google aren't. You can change tags weight settings in Program Settings so that you can analyze your site by different search engines criteria.
- TITLE - IMG SRC - the number of times this word is found in different tags on the page.
- Keywords sheet. There are two panes on this sheet - Keyword Select Pane and Keywords Distribution Pane. If you click on the keyword in the Keyword Select Pane, there will be three fields displayed in the in the Keywords Distribution Pane:
- Resource - the address of the page, analyzed by the program
- Count - the number of times, the selected word occurs on the page
- Distribution - histogram, displaying the keyword distribution on the page. The histogram displays the keyword distribution on the pages from the beginning (left) to the end (right)
- Keyphrases sheet. Works much like the Keywords sheet, but displays the distribution of keyphrases, consisting of more than one word
- Progress bar. Displays the progress of the current command execution.
Using Statistics tab you can view both detailed statistics of the keywords distribution in different elements of the page and global keyword distribution on the project pages. In the Main Statistics Table you can view the total number of the word occurrence on the page: the program analyzes the source code of the page, finds all visible words and counts them, classifies them by tags they are included into.
