There are four tabs in System Options window.
General Settings
- Quick submit - the program will submit your URLs without waiting for the results of submit
- Automatically select active connection - when starting the program
- Run dialer - if you are using dial-up connection to the Internet, the program will run dialer module on startup.
- Show tips window on program start - the program will show tips on startup.
- Remove the reminder - every time you start the program it will remind you to activate internal Scheduler. By selecting this check box you will disable the reminder.
- Hints translucency level - scroll slider to set hints transparency level.
- Language - select the language for program interface.
Internet Settings
Proxy settings
If you use a Proxy Server to access the Internet, you can configure Page Promoter to use it. When running the program for the first time it prompts you to configure your Proxy settings. The program supports most standard proxy servers. To enable proxy support select Use proxy check box. Fill out the following fields to configure proxy settings:
- Host - the hostname of the proxy server
- Port - the port number (usually 80, 8080 or 3128) used by your local area network proxy server
- Username - some proxies require authentication. Enter your username here.
- Password - enter your proxy password.
You can extract your proxy settings from Internet Explorer if it is set for browsing the Internet.
Mail settings
Configure mail settings if you want the program to send reports via e-mail.
- SMTP Server - SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. Enter your SMTP server hostname or IP address here.
- SMTP Port - port used by your SMTP server (usually 25)
- SMTP Username - enter your SMTP username
- SMTP Password - enter your SMTP password
- "From": address for the e-mail reports - address to be displayed in the "From" field
- "From": name for the e-mail reports - name to be displayed in the "From" field. By default it is set to "Page Promoter 7.0 Report"
Transfer rate - rate of data transfer from remote server to your computer. Measured in kilobytes per second (K). If you are unsure of your data transfer rate, select "Undefined".
Click Test internet connection to find out whether the settings you have provided are correct and the program is able to connect to the Internet.

Performance Settings
- Maximum number of simultaneous connections - set maximum number of simultaneous HTTP connections the program will be allowed to establish when querying search engines or services
- Number of retries if a connection fails - set maximum the number of times the program should retry to establish Internet connections if previous attempts have failed
Browser Emulation
These options are provided for the program to avoid being recognized by search engines as an automatic registration or query tool. It is known that some of the search engines may ban your IP address for using automated query tools. You can set the program to emulate human-like behavior when querying SE.
- Be nice to search engines (slower updates) - the program will make a pause after each query.
- Random delay between search queries (seconds): # to # - set minimum and maximum intervals between requests to search engines and services
- Sleep # minutes every # searches - set the program to pause for several minutes after every several queries to a search engine or service
- User Agent - select user agent string with which the program will identify itself

Google Api
Here you can set additional options for working with Google and Yandex.
Popularity Analyzer module allows using Google API key for safe querying Google. Google API key is a unique character combnation that can be obtained from google by the following address: Google API.
Yandex Account
You can use your personal Yandex account for safequerying Yandex. The account can be created by the following address: Yandex Account.
