You cannot register the program if you do not have active internet connection. When you run the program for the first time it opens a dialog window, where you can choose between three options.

If you press Get key, the program will open your default Internet browser and go to the order page, where you can purchase program licence. Once you have got the key, you can press Enter key, to open Registration dialog, where you should enter the key you have received and configure your proxy settings if you access the Internet through a proxy. In the opened window enter your registration key, configure proxy settings if required, and press OK. During the first registered program startup you will be recommended to update the program database. You may skip this step, in which case you will be able to submit your links only to FFA sites. Major international and national search engines data are downloaded in the program update packages, so if you want to use them, you can update your program database at any time.

On program startup the Profile tab opens. To start work with Page Promoter you need to enter the start URL of your site, fill out Website title, Author, Description and Keywords fields. You can automatically extract existing values of these fields from your site's actual meta-tags by pressing Extract. The program will download the start page of the site. In order to be able to work with the project in future you have to save it. You cannot save project under the name "Default"; this name is reserved for system needs. Once you have saved the project, you can perform any functions on it, among them spidering your site, submitting it to search engines, directories and FFA sites.
