NetPromoter company announced the availability of the new 2.0 version of Link Utility - a comprehensive Web site management software for webmasters and corporate IT professionals. Link Utility performs thorough analysis of Web sites including link integrity testing, analysis of slow-loading, deep, outdated and small pages.
The current version can analyze sites, containing thousands of pages including password protected sites and sites, accessed via HTTPS protocol and work through a proxy-server. The program scans Java applets, Flash objects for links and checks them for consistency. As well as broken links the program finds orphaned files on your site, i. e. files, that no document on the site refers to. After the analysis the program provides a variety of reports with the powerful system of filers.
The following changes have been made to the current version of the software.
- Enhanced encodings support for non-unicode languages introduced
- Import links from HTML and text files
- Catalog tree structure of the site can be viewed. Even if your site is dynamically generated, you can still view its structure.
- The links in the Main Window are colored according to their statuses
